Saatva Warranty Description
Saatva is a mattress company based in the US and the Saatva warranty is said to be the friendliest in the mattress industry.
The Saatva product line of high-grade mattresses includes memory foam, hybrid, innerspring, latex, and airbed variants. Alongside these mattresses, Saatva also sells bedding and furniture. You can read a more detailed description of the Saatva Mattress Review.
The company’s most popular bed is the Saatva Classic. This luxury innerspring mattress comes in 3 firmness settings:
- Firm
- Luxury Firm
- Plush Soft
The Classic is the brand’s best-seller available in the 3 firmnesses above. You can also find the following Saatva mattresses:
- HD: Hybrid designed for heavier sleepers from 300 to 500 pounds
- Loom & Leaf: Luxury memory foam mattress with great pressure relief
- Zenhaven: Flippable latex mattress
- Solaire: Adjustable airbed with memory foam and Talalay latex
Saatva mattresses are a great choice for bargain hunters not prepared to compromise on quality.
How about the Saatva warranty, though?
Saatva Warranty Overview
Saatva offers warranties of 10 to 25 years on its line of mattresses
The flagship Classic is backed with a 15-year warranty that’s not prorated.
Warranty periods for the rest of the Saatva line are as follows:
- Loom & Leaf: 15 years
- Zenhaven: 20 years
- Saatva HD: 20 years
- Saatva Solaire: 25 years
None of these warranties are prorated either.
The average mattress is guaranteed for 10 years, so even the lesser Saatva mattresses are guaranteed for 5 years longer than the opposition.
Given that no manufacturer expects to lose out by offering a warranty, this shows superb confidence in their products on the part of Saatva.
For all Saatva mattresses except the Saatva Solaire, you get a brand new replacement mattress during the first 2 years if it’s deemed defective. With the airbed, Saatva will professionally repair the mattress during the first 5 years after purchase.
Again with the exception of the Solaire, Saatva will re-cover or repair your mattress from the third year until the end of the guarantee period.
Your only costs will be a $99 transportation fee each way.
With the Solaire, Saatva promises prorated costs for shipping, parts, and repairs during warranty years 6 to 25. Saatva covers all labor costs.
Fairness Replacement Option
All Saatva guarantees include a Fairness Replacement Option. If your bed is considered defective after a given time, you can keep your original mattress.
Under the Fairness Replacement Option, Saatva offers to deliver and install a new mattress as follows:
- Years 3 to 5: 40% of original price
- Years 6 to 10: 60% of original price
- Years 11 to 15: 80% of original price
The $99 transportation fee applies to the new mattress under this Fairness Replacement Option.
How Long Is the Saatva Warranty?
Saatva’s warranties range from 15 to 25 years, according to the mattress model. Shipping and material costs apply.
What Does the Saatva Warranty Cover?
The information that follows relates to the Saatva Classic warranty. Warranty coverage for the other mattress models is pretty similar. Saatva has a comprehensive help center on the official website with more information.
Defects in Workmanship
Although Saatva covers defects resulting from workmanship, the policy is not explicit on this front. Usually, the definition is quite narrow and includes deep indentations, structural failure, splitting at the seams, and irregular bunching.
Defects in Materials
The warranty covers material defects, but again doesn’t get too specific on what it considers to qualify.
Body Impressions More Than 1” Deep
Indentations in the surface resulting from your body weight over a prolonged period are covered by the warranty only if deeper than 1”.
What Does the Saatva Warranty Not Cover?
Normal Wear and Tear
Normal wear and tear is not covered by the warranty. Lumpiness, uneven surfaces, and discoloration are all excluded.
Indentations Less Than 1” Deep
If the sagging is shallower than 1”, it’s not covered under warranty.
Unwanted Pressure or Unexpected Softness
Any difference in expectations concerning the bed’s firmness settings is not covered under the guarantee.
Physical Abuse Including Broken Coils, Burns, or Stains
Any damage resulting from improper care is not covered, and this could void the warranty entirely. Stains, burns, and broken coil systems all qualify as improper care.
How Does the Saatva Warranty Compare To The Competition?
The Saatva warranty is average but not comprehensive.
Some companies like Puffy and Nectar offer no-nonsense lifetime warranties.
What Voids the Saatva Warranty?
- Using a high-profile Saatva mattress on an adjustable base
- Using a metal frame without a 5-legged or 6-legged metal bed frame (queens and upwards)
- Using a metal fram but failing to support the foundation
- Evidence of burning, abuse, or damage
- Selling the bed

FAQs about Saatva Warranty
How does the return policy work?
Saatva offers you a 180-night sleep trial beginning on the date of delivery. This is limited to the US and Canada. If you’re unhappy with your bed, Saatva will collect your mattress for a $99 transportation fee.
Does the warranty demand a specific box spring or foundation?
Saatva does recommend buying a foundation for your mattress, but an existing box spring or foundation in good condition will work fine. The Saatva warranty is valid when using a foundation supported by a bed frame ( 5 or 6-legged for queens and above, 4-legged metal frame for full and twins).
Does the warranty extend to issues with the pillow top, motion isolation, or edge support?
No explicit details are provided about the coverage provided for the cover and pillow top. Indentations should be covered, though. Problems like motion transfer, off-gassing, and back pain are not covered.
